The value of volunteers to be so dedicated. We applaud all of you.
This registered charity is dedicated to the welfare of cats and kittens. They provide needed veterinary care for the sick & injured and helps families that need assistance with spays/neuters & vaccinations.
They also run a small food bank to give needy families cat food if required plus work hard to educate & promote the importance of spays/neuters & vaccinations. Their aim is to change social norms around abandoning unwanted cats & kittens, plus being advocates for feline rights, as in encouraging people to support “Teddy’s Law”. This legislation is trying to update Ontario’s animal welfare laws to ban the practice of declawing cats, unless deemed necessary by a vet.
This is hopefully being accomplished by caring volunteers who demonstrate compassion & empathy for all living creatures.
Some of their recent stats are: # of cats in care as of June 26, 2020 – 44 adults (of which 24 are long term/permanent) + 38 kittens. In 2019, they had 193 adoptions and neutered/spayed 283 cats/kittens, of which 89 consisted of owner assists. As of June 26, 2020, they had 121 adoptions, 155 neuters/spays, of which 51 were owner assists.
So please think about supporting smaller groups like this, or donate to this Foundation, and we will utilize your donation to the utmost.
……and so goes the reality of of many rescue organizations losing out due to the pandemic. That is why it is so important to donate cash as did this Foundation to such causes.
Is your furniture really worth all that pain? Plus please note, it is a known fact that if you get your cat mutilated in this way cause of it scratching you or your kid, most become biters.
