Craig Street Cats

Monetary Donation | Article by: Cindy Cherry

Pictured here is Abby, the first cat captured and entered into the Craig Street Cats TNR program.

This organization is the epitome of when one person, in this case Lynne Scott, who lived on Craig Street in Winnipeg, saw a problem and did something about it.  This street was a home to a colony of about 40 feral cats.  Witnessing this ever-growing population, Lynne bought one trap, made 18 appointments with the Winnipeg Humane Society’s Trap/Neuter/Release program and started trapping cats.

Abby is Lynne’s first success story, with many more to come.   It is this kind of gumption and fortitude that is lacking in much of today’s society, so when recognized, this Foundation is glad it can assist.  For more info on Lynne and her accomplishments please click here to visit their website.
