Controlling the feral cat problem is always a challenge and this organization tackles it head on. In one particular town they removed approximately 40-60 kittens and their TNR program sterilized close to 30 adult cats. The following year they did not receive any calls concerning kittens and all the ferals were happy and thriving.
A huge goal of theirs is to have a physical shelter in which they can have proper quarantine for incoming cats and relieve some of the pressure on their limited amount of foster volunteers. They do the best they can, and it is because of their dedication we were so glad to be able to assist them.
We would like to do more for smaller groups like this that are totally dependent on public donations and fundraising events, so please donate to us and we will do our part in getting your money to the right place that assists animals that need a break. https://www.doncherryspetrescue.org/donate/
The reality of a colony of cats.
There is hope for some ferals to find a loving home.
Can anyone say, “feral”?
