Global Pet Foods

Global Pet Foods is the largest Canadian-owned pet specialty retailer. They are very community orientated, plus feature an annual Show Us Your Heart Campaign within all their stores that distributes funds raised to animal welfare organizations throughout Canada. To date they have raised close to 1.25 million dollars. Long before the existence of Don Cherry’s Pet Rescue Foundation, Don was showing his support of this worthwhile cause. See Global’s 2013 Press Release below:

“Fueling the success of Show Us Your Heart™ was famous pet parent Don Cherry and his beloved dog Blue. Cherry and Blue donated their time and talent to act as the official face and heart of the 2013 campaign. “I’m thrilled Blue and I could help raise greater awareness of this important fundraiser,” said Cherry. “As an animal lover it’s rewarding to know these dollars will help shelters and rescues create a better life for pets in need.”

Fast forward to 2017 with the development of Simply Pets Product and Don Cherry’s Pet Rescue Foundation, Global is showing one good deed deserves another.

This Foundation is recipient of many in-store promotions, such as Canada Day Dog Biscuits, and celebrating Canada’s 5 Indigenous Breeds cookie. It is truly a great partnership with lots of potential in helping animals throughout Canada.
