Don Cherry had a vision in 2014 in wanting to do more to help animals and the people that aid in their rescue.  So when Simply Pets approached him for being their spokesperson, he saw this as the opportunity he had been waiting for.  In lieu of any compensation he asked if they would spearhead the idea of creating a Pet Rescue Foundation and his portion of the proceeds would go directly to the Foundation.   The deal was made and his friends at Simply Pets set the wheels in motion.

Don knew it was a win win for everyone, sort of a hat trick if you will, for animals in need, Simply Pets, and of course himself, knowing that his legacy in caring about animals will go on forever.
